The I Need A VA team smiling together at their 4-year anniversary celebration

A June to Remember: 4 Years of Freedom, and a Whole Lot of Heart

June 29, 202611 min read

June was a milestone month for the I Need A VA family. We celebrated four years of helping business owners buy back their time, honored the dads on our team, cheered on our standout VAs, threw a few birthday parties, and showed up across summits, trainings, and live streams. Here's a look back at everything that made this month special.

Celebrating 4 years of freedom

Four Years of Freedom

This June marked our 4-Year Anniversary, and what a journey it's been. We started back in 2022 with one simple mission: to help business owners stop doing everything alone. Four years later, we're celebrating freedom, growth, opportunities, late nights, big wins, and an incredible community of clients and virtual assistants who made it all possible.

Every delegated task. Every business scaled. Every dream supported behind the scenes. It all matters.

But the anniversary was about so much more than a business milestone. It was a celebration of the friendships built, the lives changed, the clients we've supported, and the VAs we've empowered. The laughs, the inside jokes, the wins, and the challenges we've overcome together. What you see in our team isn't just a group of coworkers. It's a family of people who genuinely care about each other and the work we do every single day.

To our clients, VAs, partners, and supporters: thank you for being part of this journey. Every milestone we've reached is because of you. Here's to four years of growth, impact, and freedom, and we're just getting started.

A Message From Our Founder

Boss Message

We asked our founder, Brittany Bettini, to reflect on four years of building I Need A VA. Here's what she shared:

"Our 4th anniversary is what I'm most proud of. When I think about where we started, one first client, one first team member, one task, one dream, and look at where we are now, four years in with thousands of clients served, it still amazes me. We built this from the ground up together, and reaching that four year mark is proof of what this team is capable of."

When asked to describe her team in three words, she didn't hesitate: "Dependable, sharp, and kind. Dependable because they show up and follow through. Sharp because they catch what I miss. And kind because they make this a place people actually want to work."

She's especially grateful for one thing above all. "Their ownership. I never have to wonder if something will get done well. They treat the business like it is their own, and that trust means everything to me."

And on what a strong virtual team has made possible? "It has been freeing. A capable remote team means I am not the bottleneck. I get to lead instead of doing everything myself, and it has given me back time and headspace I did not have before."

That heart, trust, and gratitude are exactly what makes this team feel like family.

Life on the Team

Leadership sets the tone, but the real story is best told by the people who live it every day. Myrr Tubio, one of our pioneers and a Recruitment Specialist who has been with us for nearly four years, what working at I Need A VA is really like.

Internal Team

For Myrr, it comes down to balance and well-being. "I take care of my mental health by staying active and making time for things I enjoy outside of work. I run and play pickleball whenever I can, which helps me clear my mind and stay energized," she shared. "I also make good use of my paid time off to travel and recharge. One thing I really appreciate is the flexibility at I Need A VA. I can bring my laptop and work from almost anywhere when needed, and that freedom helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance."

What stood out most was this: "We don't work weekends or require overtime, so I've been able to set clear boundaries between work and personal time. In my three years and ten months with the company, I haven't experienced burnout, and I believe that's largely because of the supportive work environment and the balance it allows me to maintain."

That kind of longevity and genuine well-being is exactly the culture we work hard to protect, because we believe people do their best work when they're supported, rested, and free to live full lives outside of work, too.

Honoring the Dads

This Father's Day, we took a moment to celebrate the dads building businesses, leading teams, answering emails, solving problems, and still showing up for their families. The ones who wake up early, stay up late, and keep going because the people they love are counting on them.

Father's Day

Behind every dad is a story of sacrifice. The dreams set aside, the long hours, the comforts given up so their children could have more.

Fatherhood isn't always loud. Sometimes, it's steady hands and silent strength, the quiet reassurance after a hard day, and the unwavering support that holds a whole family together. To all the fathers in our community, including clients, VAs, and team members alike, thank you for everything you do at home and in your careers. Thank you for the early mornings and late nights, for carrying weight you rarely talk about, and for loving your families through every season. Your dedication doesn't go unnoticed, and the example you set ripples far beyond your own home. You are seen, deeply appreciated, and loved. Today, and every day, we celebrate you. Happy Father's Day.

Celebrating Our June Birthdays

June was packed with reasons to celebrate, starting with the wonderful people who make I Need A VA what it is.

June Celebrants

From our internal team, we got to celebrate:

  • Gem, the sweet soul who brings so much life to our social media team. We're so thankful to have her as part of the family.

  • Danielle Grace, may this new chapter bring you endless opportunities and success in everything you do. Keep shining and chasing your dreams.

  • Levin, wishing Sir Lev endless opportunities, career growth, good health, and happiness. Thank you for your hard work, positivity, and dedication.

And from our amazing external VA team, we celebrated Jonahlou, wishing her a fantastic day filled with joy and a year ahead full of success, happiness, and countless blessings. We truly appreciate everything she does.

Happy birthday to all our June celebrants!

Monthly Training: Growing Small Businesses Through FB & IG

In June, Blessy Cabreros hosted our monthly training session on Growing Small Businesses Through Facebook & Instagram, packed with practical social media strategies that help turn content into customers. From building a consistent posting rhythm to crafting captions that connect, understanding the algorithm, and using engagement to grow a loyal audience, the session was full of takeaways our VAs can put to work for their clients right away.

Company Training

What made it even better was the energy in the room. Our team showed up curious, asked great questions, and walked away genuinely inspired. And to keep the fun going, we gave away prizes through our wheel of names, where five lucky winners had the chance to win a little something extra. Learning here is never just about slides and notes. It's interactive, hands-on, and something everyone looks forward to.

These trainings are a reflection of what we believe at I Need A VA: that growth never stops. Continuous learning is a core part of how we keep our VAs sharp, current, and ahead of the trends, so they can deliver real, measurable results for the clients they support. When our team grows, our clients win, and that's a promise we invest in every single month.

Out in the Community and Online

June kept us busy beyond our own team, too. A few highlights:

  • TikTok Live with Miss V. We went live to connect with our community in real time, sharing insights and answering questions about virtual staffing and building a business that runs without you.

  • Re-Group Women's Empowerment Collective. Our founder Brittany joined the Re-Group Hendersonville Women's Empowerment Collective for their monthly breakfast at Mikes On Main, connecting with fellow women in business over good food, great conversation, and shared ambition. Re-Group is all about lifting women up, building real connections, and creating a supportive space where female entrepreneurs can learn, grow, and thrive together. Mornings like these are a powerful reminder that none of us were meant to build alone, and that community is one of the greatest tools for growth.

  • Women of Wealth AI Summit. Brittany took the stage (powered by Vonza) to talk all things virtual staffing: how to stop being the bottleneck in your own business, what to actually hand off first, and how to build something that runs without you holding every single piece of it.

Coming Soon: The 4 The Freedom Summit

To cap off our anniversary celebration, we're hosting The Freedom Summit on July 21 to 24, 2026 at 7PM ET, and it's completely free. Four nights designed to help you get your time back without losing your peace:

  • Tuesday, July 21, Angelica Williams: Monetize Your Movement. Turn your purpose into profit without losing your peace.

  • Wednesday, July 22, Attorney Dominique Price: Protect Your Empire. Close the contract, brand, and legal gaps before they cost you.

  • Thursday, July 23, Tia Hudson: Stop Sleeping on AI. Make tech work for you so you don't burn out.

  • Friday, July 24, Brittany Bettini: Delegate & Lead, The CEO Shift. Go from doing everything to approving everything, and build a team that actually runs.

You're not behind. You're not a bad mom for needing help. You're one decision away from finally taking your foot off the gas without the whole thing stalling.

Virtual Assistant Insights: What Every Business Owner Should Know

Beyond the celebrations, we love sharing what we've learned about virtual assistants and the future of remote work. Here are a few topics worth keeping on your radar this month:

Delegating is a skill, not a weakness. The biggest mindset shift for most business owners is realizing that handing off work doesn't mean losing control. It means trading low-value busywork for high-value focus. Start small: hand off the tasks that drain you first (inbox management, scheduling, data entry), then build from there as trust grows.

The bottleneck is usually the owner. If your business can't run without you touching every single piece, you don't have a business. You have a very demanding job. A great VA helps you build systems and processes so the work keeps moving even when you step away. That's the difference between doing everything and approving everything.

AI and VAs are better together. There's a myth that AI will replace virtual assistants. In reality, the best VAs are using AI to work smarter by drafting faster, organizing better, and freeing up even more of your time. Tools change, but the human judgment, care, and reliability a skilled VA brings can't be automated.

Why Filipino virtual assistants are a global standard. The Philippines is home to an incredible talent pool of professionals known for strong English communication, a deep work ethic, and a genuine care for the clients they support. Many of our VAs go above and beyond not because they have to, but because they're invested in your success. That cultural commitment to service is a huge part of why remote teams thrive.

Hiring a VA is an investment, not an expense. When you free up 10, 20, or 30 hours a week, that's time you can pour back into growth, strategy, sales, or simply your own well-being. The right virtual assistant pays for themselves many times over in the time and energy they give back to you.

If any of these resonate, that's exactly the kind of freedom we help business owners create every day.

Why It All Comes Back to Freedom

If there's one thread running through everything we did in June, it's this: business owners shouldn't have to spend their evenings buried in their own inbox. You didn't build a real business to spend Tuesday at 9PM doing admin work.

The right virtual assistant doesn't just take tasks off your plate. They give you back your time, your focus, and your energy for the work (and the life) that actually matters. That's the freedom we've been building for four years now. And whether you're a business owner ready to delegate, or a VA looking to grow your career with a team that feels like family, there's a place for you here.

Here's to four years down, and so much more ahead. 🧡
